Govt welcomes Anna's fast .. hopes it will bring down food prices

New Delhi: Unable to control the skyrocketing prices of food and essential commodities sources told our Correspondent Sanki today that they infact welcomed Anna Hazares decision to go on a fast again. The hoped that more and more people will follow the 'gandhiyan' blindly leading to a fall in demand for food and with it a fall in prices.

With Sonia Gandhi's latest scheme, involving over weight MPs getting a Gastric Bypass ( reported earlier), still not underway (minute details like funding are being worked out) Anna Hazare seems to have given the govt something to smile and cheer about."This is great for us. With Anna going on a fast and so many people following him blindly we should easily be able to control food prices" said Agriculture Minister Sharad Powar with a wide grin across his disfigured face. " You see this was always our plan. We are not accepting the Lok Pal Bill because if we do then Anna will not fast and then food prices will not come down. Its for the common man only" was what Rahul Gandhi had to say. Meanwhile Digvijay Singh, who is always the first to comment, could not blame the RSS and remained mum on the issue cause he has taken a Maun Vrat for a week (reported earlier )

The Govt is also hoping that the BJP will put all its weight behind Anna's fast and join him in the fast too. Meanwhile reports that Nita Ambani is going to make her fat lard son go on a diet has further fueled hopes of food prices coming down.
